But, glad it’s fixed now. I thought I would share something that I recently fixed after many hours worth of struggle. I have this problem with my new Dell notebook too. I surfed perfectly for that time, then the wifi light started to flicker for about a minute, and bam – it was gone.
Log in or Sign up. I finally got fed up with it, so I completely uninstalled the WLAN adapter, rebooted, with the intent of reinstalling the drivers as I had before. And it doesn’t turn off infel – it ‘gasps for air’ for a minute, then dies completely.

Signal strength is much stronger. Any hope this will fix things? I use the “G” for file transfers to and from ad-hoc networks for sometimes faster file transfers.
The other laptop in pto house has awhich works perfectly.
